My Background
I am a self-taught artist and have spent years trying many different styles and mediums.
When I was growing up I was surrounded by art and artists; both my mother and father painted.
The above photo is of a painting that my father entered into an art show on my behalf, when I was a very young child of three or four.

When I was growing up I was surrounded by art and artists; both my mother and father painted.

I am currently the President of the Metropolitan Richmond Artists Association, a member of the James River Art League, and a member of a group of Richmond abstract artists called the Abstraktors.

I use many different mediums such as acrylics, acrylic inks, oil sticks, pastels, oil, cold wax, encaustic, collage, pen, pencil, and marker .
I believe that working in a single medium is restrictive to my artistic process. Each piece I work on manifests itself in its own individual style.

I live in Richmond, Virginia with my husband David. We love the outdoors and spend hours walking, hiking, and taking day trips to the many wonderful places this area has to offer.
As an artist, inspiration is unlimited in RVA. From the river, nearby mountains and beaches, incredible street art, galleries, and museums, the possibilities are endless.
